Production Operator – Corporate Office

Shifts: 4 am-4 pm, 4 pm-4 am, swing shifts
Pay Rate: $24.55 at Operator Level 1 with opportunity for advancement up to $32.80
Job Duties:
Operates automatic processing equipment such as shot furnace (copper melting furnace), shot dryer, thin layer furnace (continuous belt furnace), grinding mills, blenders, etc. Automated control boards monitor variable criteria such as temperature, load, atmosphere pressure, etc. The operator monitors the control board, reads and understands instruments, and makes adjustments to control temperature, pressure, etc., in accordance with prescribed specifications. The operator records weights, makes simple calculations, and takes samples. Work in the Antimony department and Cubond department as needed. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Competency:
Ability to read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets, Job Safety Analyses, and Standard Operating Procedures. Thorough understanding of the process and the control board monitoring points. Capable of acting on their own initiative to prevent or minimize risk to product, self, or equipment.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Must have basic computer skills.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to work rotating shifts, operate forklift equipment, and wear and operate required protective equipment and devices. Heavy machinery/equipment is preferred.
Physical Demands
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
