Gas Atomized Copper
Description
Copper and copper alloy powders are produced by disintegration of a stream of liquid metal through an atomizing nozzle by compressed gas. This gas atomization process produces a spherical particle shape for copper and depending on the other elements, a spherical or irregular shape for alloyed powders.
Characteristics
- Particle sizes 10 mesh (<1650 µm) to 325 mesh (<45 µm)
- Apparent density 3.5 g/cm³ to 5.5 g/cm³
