Our Sustainability Commitment
Sustainability is embedded into every aspect of our operations. Several of our production facilities—including Mepura, ECKA Granules Germany, ECKA Granules Australia, and Innobraze—now operate on 100% renewable energy, dramatically reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.  Our meta ceramics operations support a tree nursery program dedicated to local reforestation and environmental education. In 2024, we donated around 3,000 seedlings for planting in schools, public spaces, and ecological restoration sites. That effort is continuing in 2025, with approximately 1,800 seedlings distributed so far. 

We are proud that all Kymera sites worldwide have been recognized for their sustainability management systems, aligning with our broader commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, as emphasized by our CEO, Barton White .

Sustainable Products: Designed for Circularity
Beyond our operational improvements, Kymera’s product offerings themselves contribute to a more sustainable, circular economy. Many of our materials are infinitely recyclable, supporting our customers’ own sustainability goals.

KDF^® Process Media
Our KDF^® process media, used extensively in water filtration applications, is a prime example of product sustainability. After fulfilling its purpose in filtration systems, KDF^® media can be easily reclaimed and recycled, reducing landfill waste and minimizing environmental impact.

Titanium Processing: 100% Recycled Raw Materials
In our Titanium Processing Services, we specialize in taking in 100% recycled titanium from a wide range of sources. We purchase titanium in virtually any form, including:

• Titanium solids from various manufacturing processes
• Turnings from machining operations
• By-products and co-products from mill production
• Off-grade materials and semi-finished products

These recycled materials are transformed into high-quality finished products such as bulk weldable titanium, feedstock for manufacturing, and steel and aluminum additives.

Our in-house laboratory enables alloy identification and rigorous quality control testing, ensuring that we deliver premium, sustainable materials to our customers without compromising on performance.

By reclaiming titanium that would otherwise be discarded, we close the loop—helping industries reduce their reliance on virgin raw materials and significantly lowering the environmental footprint of critical manufacturing sectors.

SIKA^® Silicon carbide
SIKA^® Silicon carbide (SiC) plays a vital role in our sustainability initiatives by enabling more efficient technologies across multiple industries, including wind, solar, and waste-to-energy. Silicon carbide is increasingly applied in liquid filtration systems, especially for harsh industrial and wastewater environments, due to its robustness and resistance to corrosion.
