Our mission is clear

At Kymera, we are constantly improving our processes, products, and services to maintain our position as the leading supplier of specialty materials and surface technologies. Kymera International operates 18 manufacturing facilities across ten countries. We come from different backgrounds, but we share one goal: deliver innovation and value in every particle we produce and every service we provide.

2024

Kymera International acquires the assets of Royal Metal Powders, Inc. following their decision to close their TN facility, reinforcing our long-term commitment to the copper powder market.

2023

Kymera International acquires Metallisation, Ltd. in a move to enhance and grow its surface technologies division through strategic expansion in thermal spray solutions.

2023

Kymera International acquires KDF Fluid Treatment, Inc. leveraging complimentary product capabilities to expand into the water filtration market.

2023

Kymera International acquires Thermal Spray Solutions Inc., expanding on thermal spray, coatings, and surface technology solutions.

2022

Kymera International acquires CASL Surface Technologies, expanding on coatings and surface technology solutions.

2022

Kymera International acquires AmeriTi Manufacturing, adding titanium specialty materials to its product offering.

2021

Kymera International acquires Telex Metals, adds tantalum and niobium specialty materials to product offering.

2020

Kymera International achieves meaningful progress on specialty materials transformation by acquiring Innobraze and Reading Alloys.

2018

Palladium Equity Partners acquires Kymera International and 5N’s antimony powder assets.

2017

The single platform is rebranded to promote global products, established as Kymera International.

2008-10

Under Platinum Equity, SCM Metal Products, Tricon Industries, ACuPowder, and Ecka Granules merge into a single platform.

2004

Ecka Granules builds state-of-the-art facility in Velden, Germany, producing zinc, copper and aluminum powders.

2001

Ecka Granules is formed as an independent company, separating from Eckart.

1996

ACuPowder International, LLC, is formed after purchase of copper powder facility from Alcan Powder and Pigments.

1981

Glidden Metals builds state-of-the-art copper powder facility in North Carolina, rebrands to SCM Metal Products.

1967

SCM Corporation purchases Glidden Metals.

1963

Alcan, Canada acquires Metals Disintegrating Company, becomes Alcan Powder and Pigments.

1961

National Radiator and Metals Refining Company merge to form Glidden Metals.

1930

National Radiator begins producing metal powder in Pennsylvania.

1916

Metal Disintegrating Company forms, inventing the atomization of aluminum powder and beginning production of zinc powder in New Jersey.

1876

Ecka Granules forms as a gold leaf producer in Germany.
