Engineers Week Spotlight
In honor of Engineers Week, get to know two of Kymera’s best.
Senior Plant Engineer Andrew Klages has worked in commercial construction and heavy industry for 17 years. Throughout his career he has completed two degrees, including an AAS in Mechanical Engineering Technology and a BSE in Aerospace Engineering – Aeronautics.
“My favorite aspect of being an engineer is getting to see my designs come to life. It never ceases to amaze me when I see a physical object in real life that I have spent weeks or months crafting and refining in 3D models on a computer screen.”
Andrew Klages
Process Engineer James Austen has worked in the industry for 16 years. He pursued engineering to learn more about how and why things worked and enjoys the variety of experiences, continuous learning, and access to manufacturing that his career at Kymera offers.
“I like being able to advance and improve technology to achieve things that have not been done before.”
James Austen
Founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers in 1951, Engineers Week is dedicated to securing a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.
